What are the three processes of TPU film production
Feb 23, 2023
1、 TPU film production process
1. Tape casting process: TPU resin is melted and plasticized by the extruder, and the head is extruded at the slit die to make the molten material cling to the cooling roller, and then the finished product is obtained by stripping, stretching, slitting and coiling.
2. Blow-molding production process: TPU resin is melted and plasticized by the extruder. After blowing, herringbone plate is introduced into the traction roller, and the finished product is obtained through the guide roller and coiler.
3. Calendering production process: TPU resin is melted and plasticized by the extruder, and the finished product is obtained by calendering, secondary cooling, cooling the conveying roller and coiling device of the three-roller calender.
2、 The main differences between TPU film production process blow molding and calendering are as follows
1. When producing products of the same specification, the calendering process is about 10 times higher than the blow-molding process, and large investment can ensure good quality.
2. The calendering production process is far more advanced than the blow-molding process, and is higher than the blow-molding product in all performance indicators. In terms of film thickness uniformity, the calendering process is more uniform than the blow-molding process.
3. Different production processes also directly affect the stability of construction welding during secondary heating. The shrinkage of the film produced by calendering method is far less than that produced by blow molding.
4. When the same raw material is used, the density of calendering product is higher than that of blow molding product.
5. The thickness range of geomembrane produced by calendering method is far greater than that by blow molding method.
6. Calendering method is more suitable for raw materials than blow molding method.
