Varieties of artificial leather

Mainly PVC artificial leather, in addition to polyamide, polyurethane and polyolefin artificial leather.
polyvinyl chloride
There are three types of products:
① Ordinary artificial leather, also known as non-foaming artificial leather. It is mainly made of plain cloth, canvas and recycled cloth as the base by direct coating method. Because the coating is dense and the paste can penetrate into the pores of the substrate, the finished product feels hard and wear-resistant. It is mainly used for making wear-resistant packaging bags, construction and industrial accessories.
② Foam artificial leather. Usually, knitted fabrics are used as the base, and the surface paste contains foaming agent and additives. When gel is formed, it foams to form a microporous structure, so it is light in quality, full in hand and soft. Produced by transfer coating method. Mainly used for making gloves, bags, bags, clothing and furniture.
③ Suede synthetic leather. It is commonly known as artificial suede. Its variety and production methods are various. The gelatinized microporous surface layer of artificial leather can be made into ground suede leather after grinding by sanding rollers. The coating layer is fuzzed and stretched by a fuzzing roller to produce a crimped suede leather. It is suitable for use as a headband and edging material for sports shoes. Add soluble salts (such as table salt) into the coating paste, dissolve the salt with water after gel, and the surface will be microporous and textured. Using electrostatic flocking method, 0.5~1mm long synthetic fiber short pile is planted on PVC artificial leather coated with adhesive to produce flocked upper leather, which is suitable for making packaging bags and decorations.
polyamide
It has better moisture permeability and hygroscopicity than PVC artificial leather, and has better appearance and feel. It is often used to make boxes, bags, etc.
polyurethane
It was developed in the early 1960s. It is made with wool cloth as the base and polyurethane solution as the coating. The micro-porous layer obtained by impregnating, coating and coagulation in the water bath with polyurethane solution on the fleece cloth is then ground to form polyurethane suede leather. This kind of artificial leather is light, soft, wear-resistant, breathable, warm, and its feel is not affected by changes in temperature and cold. It is suitable for making clothes, higher-grade bags, bags and decorative articles.
polyolefin
Made of low density polyethylene as the main raw material by calendering. This kind of artificial leather is light, firm and smooth, and is used to make leather bags and handbags
