1. Dimensional & Visual Inspection:

Thickness is measured at 10 points per linear meter using a digital micrometer (precision ±0.01mm). Batch acceptance requires ≥98% of readings within specified tolerance (±0.05mm). Surface finish (embossed grain, printed pattern, or smooth) is verified against master sample plates under D65 standard lighting (5000K). Roll width is confirmed with electronic edge-guide sensors; roll length is verified via electronic length-measuring machines to ±0.5m accuracy per 100m.

2. Mechanical Performance Testing:

Peeling Strength: A universal tensile tester (UTM) measures coating-to-backing adhesion per ISO 2411 at 200 mm/min crosshead speed. Minimum acceptance: 35 N/3cm.

Tensile & Tear Strength: UTM pulls samples at 200mm/min per ASTM D5035 and ASTM D2261. Minimum acceptance: tensile ≥15 MPa, tear ≥20 N/mm.

Abrasion Resistance: Martindale tester runs 50,000 cycles under 12 kPa pressure. Surface coating must show no substrate exposure or visible pitting.

Flex Fatigue: Bally flexometer performs 50,000 cycles at ambient temperature and 15,000 cycles at -10°C. Zero delamination or cracking required.

3. Hydrolysis & Environmental Resistance:

Accelerated hydrolysis testing per ISO 1419 (70°C / 95% RH) validates ≥3-year resistance for tropical-climate footwear applications. Low-temperature performance is verified at -20°C with zero embrittlement or adhesion loss.

4. Chemical & Environmental Compliance:

All PU resins are screened for phthalates (≤0.1% per REACH Annex XVII), heavy metals (Pb ≤90ppm, Cd ≤10ppm), and formaldehyde (≤75mg/kg). Solvent-free water-based PU formulation meets OEKO-TEX, REACH, and RoHS eco-certifications.

5.Factory Traceability:

Each master roll receives a laser-etched batch number linking to production date, coating line ID, PU resin lot numbers, backing fabric batch ID, and QC test results. Retained samples (A4-size cutouts) are archived for 36 months in climate-controlled storage (23°C ±2°C, 50% ±5% RH). Digital Certificate of Analysis issued within 48 hours of production.
