• Dimensional inspection: Measure thickness, length, width and profile against the approved drawing or sample.
• Density and hardness: Verify foam properties using agreed measurement methods.
• Compression set: Evaluate permanent deformation after a defined load, temperature and recovery period.
• Compression recovery: Measure recovery after compression under specified conditions.
• Mechanical strength: Test tensile and tear properties where required by the application.
• Flex testing: Evaluate resistance to cracking or damage during repeated bending where relevant.
• Surface and edge inspection: Check for uneven cells, cutting defects, deformation and surface irregularities.
• Lamination adhesion: For fabric-covered insoles, test the bond between EVA foam and the covering material.
• Production control: Cutting, molding and laminating equipment can support consistent dimensions and composite construction, depending on the selected manufacturing process.
• Batch consistency: Maintain an approved reference sample and documented specification for repeat orders.

Compression results should always be tied to the test method and conditions. EVA foam grade alone does not establish the insole's comfort, service life or recovery performance.
