  Material Verification:

For corrugated boxes, Edge Crush Test (ECT) is performed per TAPPI T839; minimum acceptance: ECT‑32 (32 lb/in) for single‑wall, ECT‑44 for double‑wall. Moisture content is measured per ISO 287; acceptance range 7%–9% to prevent warping or delamination.

  Print Quality Control:
  Offset/flexographic print registration is verified using a 40x magnifying loupe and plate scanner. Color deviation must remain within ΔE <2.0 per ISO 12647‑2 for CMYK and ΔE <1.5 for Pantone spot colors. Each printed sheet undergoes 100% visual inspection under D65 standard lighting (5000K) for hickeys, scumming, and registration errors. Foil stamping and embossing adhesion are validated via tape peel test (3M 600 tape, 90° pull)-zero delamination accepted.

  Structural & Drop Testing:

  ISTA 3A Drop Test: Finished boxes (with weighted shoe inserts) are dropped from 760mm (30″) onto concrete in 10 orientations (6 faces, 4 edges). Acceptance: no structural failure, no corner separation, closure remains functional.

  Box Compression Test (ASTM D642): Boxes are subjected to compressive loads up to 500 kgf to measure stacking resistance. Minimum acceptance: withstands 200 kgf without permanent deformation or corner crush.

  Closure Integrity: Lift‑off lids, flip‑tops, and tuck flaps are cycled 10 times; acceptance: no loss of locking tension, no tearing at score lines.

  Environmental Compliance:
  All board and printing materials are screened for heavy metals (Pb ≤90 ppm, Cd ≤10 ppm per EN 71‑3), phthalates (≤0.1% per REACH Annex XVII), and formaldehyde (≤75 mg/kg). Water‑based inks are used as standard. FSC chain‑of‑custody certification is maintained for all eco‑grade material lots. A Certificate of Compliance is issued with every shipment.

  Factory Traceability:
  Each production batch receives a unique lot number printed on the outer carton, linked to board supplier batch ID, printing press operator log, and QC test records. Retained samples (3 boxes per batch) are archived for 24 months in climate‑controlled storage (23°C ±2°C, 50% ±5% RH).
